I HAVE STORIES!

1. MISSED MY TRAIN! GOT ONE LATER, BUT PAID THROUGH THE NOSE.
2. EVERYTHING HERE IS TINY. I BET WHEN TEXANS COME HERE THEYPASS OUT FROM CLAUSTROPHOBIA.
3. MET pogrebin AND SHE IS LOVELY! SHE SHOWED ME PUBLIC TOILETS AND I PROMISED THAT I WOULD TWEET HER WHEN THE SINK THING HAPPENS AT HUB.
4. LA CAGE IN HOURS WITH LUCY, CRUE AND BONES!
5. I SAW THINGS! I WALKED THERE! BY MYSELF!
6. PEOPLE THINK I'M SOUTH AFRICAN.
7. THE WATER HERE IS VERY SIFT, AND DESPITE MY CONDITIONER'S BEST EFFORTS, I FEAR THAT I RESEMBLE HERMIONE GRANGER.
8. PEOPLE EAT CONSTANTLY HERE AND YET THEY ARE VERY THIN. PROBABLY HAS TO DO WITH THE WALKING. EVERY WOMAN I PASS HAS POSH BOOTS. EVERYONE HAS A SCARF. PEOPLE, YOU DON'T NEED THE SCARVES! IT IS NOT COLD!
9. HONESTLY, IT IS NOT COLD AT ALL, BUT PEOPLE ARE BUNDLED UP AS IF THE SLED DOGS WILL BE NEEDED AT ANY MINUTE.
10. I WOKE UP AT 7:30 AND COULD NOT GO BACK TO SLEEP. THOSE OF YOU WHO KNOW ME UNDERSTAND HOW MOMENTOUS THAT IS. ALSO, AT 12 WHEN I FORCED MYSELF TO GO TO BED, I LAY THERE AND WAS READY TO GET UP. SLEEP IS JUST SOMETHING I MUST DO TO MAKE THE TIME PASS FASTER WHILST I WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN. HOW INSANE IS THAT?
11. I AM WRITING POETRY AGAIN. I AM SCHWAY. CONVERSELY, I HAVEN'T WRITTEN A LICK OF FANFIC. THIS IS NOT A LOSS.
12. THE POLY WAS SUPPOSED TO BE UP TODAY, BUT SOMETHING ODD HAPPENED IN THE COMM, AND IT LOOKS LIK IT WILL BE THE 28TH. WTF?? I MIGHT JUST POST IT WHENEVER AND SAY NEVER MIND THE BUZZCOCKS.
13. I DON'T MIND THE BUZZCOCKS, ANYWAY.

2. The only ones with less space to live on than western Europeans are the Japanese. Or possibly some sort of giant sort of people from a miniature island stuck in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, which as it so happens is rising since the polar ice caps are melting.
4. Hope it was brilliant! - Am hoping it is brilliant because I'll go see it on monday.

You didn't buy another ticket for the missed train? You buy the ticket, then get on the next available train. I hope you didn't waste your cash!

Have oodles of fun! Try prawn cocktail crisps; trust me on this one (they contain no essence of real prawns, which is weird). And the tour bus is a good way to see everything.

The scarves may be fashion accessories. London is very fashionable. You may feel the need to partake!

All in all, you'll have to tell me about it when you return. Perhaps over beer.

2. Are the meal or beer proportions just as tiny? That said, I'm somewhat certain that there are tiny places in this country as well, even in our fair city. It's just the cars here that are huge.
3. I gotta hear this one when you get back.

5. Isn't it great being able to walk places? I miss that sometimes.
6. I was going to say WTF? but I can totally see that and I don't know why. Maybe the really fair skin?
7. Mental note: cut my hair before accepting any job in the UK.
8. Smaller meal portions perhaps? I've seen a number of diets that recommend many small meals throughout the day. Sadly, none of them are for me because when I have good food in front of me, I like to eat until I can no longer do so.
9. Probably colder than here. Right now the temps are at 70F (21C) during the day. Weekend is supposed to be 60F (15C). Nights are 50F (10C). Of course it was 30F the weekend before you left, but who's keeping track?
10. Welcome to jet lag. You're 5 hours ahead of where you normally are. Midnight feels like 7pm, and 7am feels like 2am. Plus, you're getting plenty of exercise by walking, so you end up sleeping better/more efficiently. Enjoy it while you can.
13. You may in fact enjoy the buzzcocks.

also, glad to hear it is not cold there - it was GORGEOUS 70 degrees here yesterday (today it's back to cold and rainy)
