amand_rThe Bavarian Peach
These palm-sized cookies are more than a mouthful, packed with surprises! Two cookies are hollowed out, filled with a jam/cream cheese mixture, then dipped in peach schnapps and rolled in jello powder, forming a small peach.
Ingredients: sugar, vegetable oil, milk, eggs, vanilla, flour, baking powder; FILLING: cookie crumbs, pecans, instant tea powder, apricot preserves, cream cheese, cinnamon; OUTSIDE: peach schnapps, peach jello, cherry jello
Financiers aux fraise tagada
Financiers are tiny almond loaves, but these are sweetened a little more than regular financiers, and sweetened by melting Fraise tagada, a popular French candy, to the batter. Fraises are strawberry, and the result is a much moister, sweeter and chewier financier, but still with that almond taste. Also, they are pink. :)
Ingredients: egg whites, caster sugar, almond meal, butter, flour, salt, strawberry tagada
Plain financiers
The original financier, plain. Is a toasted almond confection with a slightly sweet taste. The humidity here has made these softer than they should be, so they don't have the hard exterior. The inside remains the soft light financier texture.
Ingredients: butter, flour, confectioner's sugar, almond meal, salt, egg whites
Diamants au chocolat
These chocolate cookies begin with a chocolate shortbread-like dough, and then are rolled in egg yolk and hazelnut sugar and sliced into rounds before baking.
Ingredients: flour butter, caster sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, unsweetened cocoa, egg yolk, hazelnut sugar.
Cran-Blueberry Shortbreads
These little two-bite shortbreads aren't the sweet American version, but the much richer, almost sandie version, with blueberry infused cranberries added.
Ingredients: flour, semolina, salted butter, brown sugar, cranberries.

1 BUNCH (12+) FLAT FINANCIERS. These are plain roasted almond. A little sweet, but flat and a little crispy. I bet they'd be good dipped in something liquid.
