I have turnips on my shopping list, even though we never eat them, just because in Scottish Gaelic, turnip is sneip (pronounced snape - my shopping list is in Scottish Gaelic because I'm trying to learn the language. It is not in Irish because their word for turnip isn't snape, and I want to keep Snape on my lists).
