2. Periods for physical education, then, were spent sitting on the bleachers, playing fast knife fingers with Kaoru and Soji, not a particularly challenging feat really, not for cyberkids, but amusing enough.
3. They're silly, and he can't stop reading them, because he wants to see what happens, but really, they have that simple yet quaint language that reminds him of some of the books he left half unread on his bedroom floor on Boeshane, back when he donned a coat much like the one he wears now and went off to war.
4. And when he lifts the pot from the stove and sets it aside to cool on the wooden trivet, he turns to you and you let Tatsumi unbutton your waistcoat, your shirt, one button at a time, meticulously, with both hands, as if the task requires them completely.
