Snippety snips

amand_rSo I usually have tons of fic ideas that I start writing, and by start I mean that I write about five lines of dialogue, form the rest of the idea in my head, say "Hey, that's cool!" and then never write even though I have the whole story in my head. I have been digging them out lately. I like to type them out, if only to remind me of the fic I never wrote out fully.
1. A HERMIONE FIC in which she and Snape are forced to share an office for a while as Severus's is remodeled after a DE incident. Sadly this story had a plot that involved a Faraday cage and everything, but alas, a cornucopia of disinterest---
Hermione slid her parchment across to let him see her lesson plans. "See? Students will be able to cast the cheering charm, level 2, to 90% accuracy."
Severus snorted and contemplated his paper before writing down an objective of his own. "Students will be able to set themselves and their partners on fire whilst making the Draught of Peace to a dismayingly 100% accuracy."
Hermione rolled her eyes, but he kept it there anyway.
2. The rather unwitty and cliched start to a possible slash story in which Harry and Snape, you know, get it on. It was supposed to start innocently enough---
The last thing he needed, Severus thought, was Harry Potter in his bedroom.
But here he was, prowling around, "the boy who lived," "the boy who was golden," and now "the man who beat Voldemort," "the hero of the war."
The pain in his arse.
Snape was sure his life would improve once his students left the school and proceeded out into the real world where they would fail or succeed, either one being perfectly fine with him. What he wasn't sure about was why the kept coming back to the school.
As *faculty*.
Most disheartening, really.
3. Two snips from a story which was to start just after the death of Harry Potter.
The day Harry Potter defeated Voldemort, his head split in two, a cosmic egg cracked, a melon ripped apart by two unseen hands.
Severus Snape thought of time as a kite string forever just out of reach, floating in space, just brushing the ends of his fingertips.
Oh well. I feel better now. The end.
