FIRST, BEFORE I FORGET: SHITBEARS!

I was spoiled like a whore on her wedding night. So forgive that I entered this ep viewing like one on their way to the slaughterhouse.

1. Jesus, Jack. "Uncle Jack"? Jesus
2. You know, is it telling that the 456 apparently still upheld their part of the bargain when they only got 12 kids? I mean, really? Can they count?
3. Jack revives and grabs on to Ianto. Yeah look, I was desperate at this point.
4. THREATENING ALICE IS THREATENING.
5. I'll admit that at this point I was so fucking distracted, that I was listening to it while I was in another window, chatting in GCHAT. With lawsontl and lionessblack. Sorry. I just couldn't get there.
6. Aaaaand then the cameraman zooms in on the kid, and I had to go outside for some air.

I saw something like this coming from back when RTD said he was a Joss Wedon fan, but . . . yeesh! Maybe fans should spam him with "The Death of Tara, the Fall of Willow and The Dead/Evil Lesbian Cliché" ( www.stephenbooth.org/lesbiancliche.htm ).

I haven't watched any of CoE yet (gonna wait till I've got it all), and I'm reading all spoilers to soften any emotional impacts. Tonight, really glad I did! How 'bout you -- you okay?

But, like, yeah-- I don't want fandom to end either. And it won't, it won't. We will have fix-it-fic and fill-in-the-gaps (there's a bloody whopping one between Exit Wounds and Children of Earth) and we'll have time-travel rescues and rebuilding and Jack's immortality fic and all of that.

I've had more time than you to deal. (I'm still really freaked and weird and-- gah, seriously, I don't think a character death has ever, ever hit me so hard.) But that's just made me even more sure that TW fandom has to stick around, ok?

I've already reversed the chronology of The Dead Line and Children of Earth in my head. Children of Earth was Jack's nightmare while he was hooked up to the global phone network. Honestly, it makes me feel much better thinking of things that way.
