I suffered without last week. Oh..and they totally lowered the amount of lotion in the special Kleenex, not nearly as soft and glorious.

The way I make it: hot water, lots and lots of honey, and a largish splash of Jameson's. Sometimes brandy instead.

Oh, And I've had very good results with Cold-Eeze zinc drops, but they work best if you start at the first tickle of a cold. I keep 'em in my bag.
