joining the cacophony of eastern seaboard posts

This is only remotely interesting because this is roughly 4 hours of accumulation.

I just watched the snow plow get stuck in my parking lot.

WHAT WILL YOU DO.

the news was interviewing a woman at the supermarket who was shocked that THERE WAS NO BACON.

NO BACON.

THIS IS TRULY A CATASTROPHE.

Though I thought to myself that I might bake tomorrow, because you're shut in and what can you do, you know? and I was sad to realise I have no eggs.

I SHOULD HAVE STOCKED UP FOR SNOWPOCALYPSE. I MIGHT NEVER SEE ANOTHER EGG AGAIN.

i was thinking I might look up egg substitute recipes. I have heard you can use coke as a substitute. I HAVE COKE!

COKE? REALLY? awesome.

eggless.com! All egg-free, all the time! Try the Scandinavian butter cookies, they're delicious.

This works for pre-mixed cake recipes (or so a friend's gf has done for me numerous times). I have no idea on other traditional recipes. Obviously, it's going to fall very flat for things like Mayo, Meringue, and Quiche.

Said friend's gf has traditionally done it with diet coke, but I don't see why regular coke wouldn't work.

You can substitute for eggs. Bacon is irreplaceable.

Look man, the roads will be clear by sunday.

In years past when Snowpocalypes are predicted here, the first things to clear out at the grocery store are bread and milk. In Wisconsin! Seems like that doesn't happen as much any more.
