Sassydemon just posted a Dr. Who story on fanfiction.net, and it turns out she did a S/R on melunsinahp's merlin/author fic. So, I'm looking at her profile page on ff.net, and wondering if any of these TW and Dr. Who fics she has there are really other fics she's done the same thing with.

Yeah, it's a common mo, actually, the easiest form of plagiarism, because like, how would a HP writer or merlin author who isn't into like, TW, even know to look?

Oh, I read that Merlin fic. Ok, I actually kind of want to read a TW version (*meep*). But I won't read this one. Besides, isn't FF.net porn-free? A huge demerit in my book. I didn't look at the TW story to see how it compares to the Merlin fic.

Update: just went to the FF story. Yep, that's just like the Merlin one. *sigh*

Her fic "My Prince" seems likely to be a rip off of a Merlin fic but I don't recognize it, just even the summary sounds like something from Merlin...Prince Jack has a thing for his servant, the Doctor?

oh, this happened a while back with someone ripping off SG fics and making them torhcwood - which SUCKED b/c i read the tw ones and I LIKED THEM but then it was pointed out that they were really SG fics and got pulled down :(

yeah yeah, plagiarism=bad, dammit why couldn't that person just write tw fic, then!
